Cookie policy
Last updated: 30 Oct 2026
This policy explains how State of Marketing ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://stateofmarketing.in. It should be read with our Privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, and they let services such as advertising networks recognise a browser.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose:
- Essentials only. We use only the cookies needed to run the site and remember your choice. Ads from Google are still shown, but they are non-personalised: they are not based on your past browsing.
- Accept all. We also allow Google to use cookies to show personalised ads and to measure ad performance and traffic.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message provided by Google instead of our banner, with more detailed options.
You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy & cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Cookies we use
Essential
- som_consent (set by us, kept for 12 months): remembers whether you chose "Essentials only" or "Accept all", so we don't ask on every page.
- Google consent cookies (set by Google, for visitors who see Google's consent message): store the consent choices made in that message.
Advertising and measurement
We show ads through Google AdSense. With your permission, Google and its partners use cookies to:
- show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites;
- measure how ads perform, such as how many times an ad was seen or clicked, and how visitors reach and use the site.
Even when ads are non-personalised, Google may use cookies or similar technologies to limit how often you see an ad, to detect fraud and abuse, and to produce aggregate ad reports. Read how Google uses cookies in advertising and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We don't run any other analytics or tracking scripts of our own. If we add one, it will only run for visitors who choose "Accept all", and we will list it here.
Other ways to control cookies
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without cookies; you'll just be asked for your choice again.
- You can turn off personalised ads from Google across sites in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors at www.aboutads.info.
